La Guilloline 1200

Only for friends

Sometimes things happen which no one ever planned

Sometimes you find unique opportunities and you have simply no choice – you have to do it

Sometimes it turns out to be better than your wildest imagination…

In the first vintage of the new cellar in 2010 one concept barrel turned out to be very different and unique probably due to the extreme vineyard and winemaking practices. Gregor decided to release this wine in December 2012 as „la g.“ 2010. The wine was within 2 days allocated to the partners of LPR-Collection in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. „la g.“ will be always one 225l barrique and is therefore limited to 252 bottles of 750ml and 18 x 1,5l magnums.

The crop was lower than two bunches per vine. Diva Viticulture came up to 90%. The very late harvest was hand de-stemmed directly in the vineyards. The white Grenache was crushed and pressed by hand. The wine passed vinification integrale and to secure full harmony, the maturation took place in 200% new 225 litre French oak barrels from Darnajou for 26 months. Bottling was done by hand, without any filtration. Drink till 2040. Alc. 15%, TA 3,7, RS 3,2

„la g.“ 2014 Sold out !

„La g. shows how great winemaking can meet the art of design. is is the story of a masterpiece loaded with plenty of character made by La Petite Révolution in cooperation with the graphic artist Johannes Maximilian Müller. It starts with seductive games of aromas in the nose. Dried strawberries and candied figs, overripe plums and cherry going on with a sensual combination of lavender, rosemary and carnations. Elegant and balanced acidity with strong tannins support the structure. Hints of dark chocolate, Bourbon-Vanilla, cigars and graphite in the finish completing this wine to an unforgettable experience.”

Marietta Stegbuchner, Chefsommelière of the Überfahrt Restaurant 3* Michelin, tasted “la g.” vintage 2014 at Tegernsee April 2017
